A new year with a lot of European evolutions ahead has just started. The brand-new European Parliament Committee on Health is a proof of the upgraded interest with which our profession, and the professions of healthcare in general, will be dealt with during the five years of the mandate. Evolution in Slovakia may become an example for other EU Member States as well. A global Treaty on pandemics, despite its obvious benefits for all, seems to be compromised at the moment.
