Held the 2nd of this month of December in the premises of the Hungarian Order of Nurses (MEZSK) at the kind invitation of their president Dr. Zoltán Balogh, our second statutory General Assembly meeting of the year was a very fruitful and indeed important event for the future of our Council and the goals it aims at achieving.
The Members of the General Assembly decided to set up a Working Group on digitalization in the field of our profession to be chaired by our colleague from the Royal College Of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), Prof. Dr. Thomas Kearns, who already worked on this issue. A document expressing our views and expectations on the subject is the group’s first task, to be shared with the EU decision-makers, especially the newly elected European Commission.
The organisation of a Conference for the launching of the above-mentioned position was also decided among with the strengthening of our ties with the RCSI Centre of Excellence in Continuous Professional Development.
Finally, in the context of 2020 International Year of Nurses and Midwifes, ENC’s members decided to elaborate a calendar of events and activities in their countries and EU-wide. In that context, Members of the General Assembly also decided to set up a price for an exceptional nurse among members of ENC regulators. The price in question is to be a scholarship on his/her name to fund nurse aiming at beginning PhD studies.
